The feeling of something about to happen is in the air....and something is about to happen. Today is the day for all of the last minute shoppers rushing everywhere to finish up before Christmas Eve and then the quiet will descend arriving the next morning, Christmas Day. I appreciate the stopping to really recognize the quiet that comes.
I was invited to participate on Saturday in a Solstice ritual "Dreaming the Dark". I was asked to serve as a channel for the Dark and bring through healing for those in the circle. I made a journey to meet the Dark to let it know about the event that would be taking place and asked it what I needed to know in order to be of service. Here’s what I was told: Dark is everywhere. We are enveloped and infused in the Dark. It is where all breath, all ideas, images, feelings reside and join with us. I asked, well what is the Light then, the “state” that all seek. The Light is what you experience when you take action, expression, of what joins with you in the Dark. When I entered the ritual circle, I waited to feel moved by the Dark to offer my presence to those in the circle who needed healing. What I experienced was enormous compassion, love essence, and the quietest stillness. Not only was I honored to be asked and to have served, I was also fortunate to receive all that came through me.
Although most of the world was filled with colored lights, the lights we experienced were candle flames on birthday cake. My Father's Mother was born on Christmas Day. She died the summer that she would have turned 100 years old. I spent every single Sunday at her house while growing up, but on Christmas Day....that was a big celebration. My Father was the baby of 11 children. Everyone would arrive in Baltimore, no matter how far away they lived or where they would travel from, to celebrate Bubba's birthday. My Bubba lived on a very busy street directly across from a big city park, Druid Hill Park, where the Baltimore City Zoo resides. Driving to Bubba's in our packed car on Sundays was always a noisy, bustling ride. But never on Christmas Day. The quiet had arrived. Even in our car did it dwell.
Bubba's house was always filled with sweet aromas, lilacs, stuffed cabbage, delicious soups and big fat black breads that like a football she would take under her arm, and she had gazundta arms, to saw her sharpened knife into. She always wore layers of jewelry....necklaces, pins, earrings. She would take me into her arms and hug me so tight til it hurt, til my face was pressed against her jewelry, and then she would kiss me so hard and blow on my neck strong enough to make my neck sound like Louis Armstrong's trumpet. Then she would slice me a real thick piece of that black bread and smother it with "real" salted butter....and she'd smile as she gave it to me. And if that wasn't lucky enough, sometimes she would take me into her bedroom with her to sit on her bed while she looked for whatever it was she was looking for....she would open her deep bureau drawers and dig around and pull out some of her tucked away tiny boxes or rolled up embroidered handkerchiefs, knowing that she was making magic for me. Sitting charmed waiting for a glimpse of the enchantment inside those boxes and handkerchiefs.... she always gave me something.
Christmas Day for me is a day filled with my life's rememberences, of my Bubba no longer here, my parents no longer here, of the silence that never fails to descend and envelope me with the love that those memories bring.

ME: Experiencing the Wave
Last summer I set my sights on becoming a Certified Practitioner of Matrix Energetics. This week, in Seattle, I was victorious!!
I’d like to tell you about this exciting new paradigm. Matrix Energetics, developed by Dr. Richard Bartlett and Dr. Mark Dunn is not a "thing" to be defined - it is, instead, a complete system of healing, self-care and transformation which has a physical and observable effect every time. The Mi-Nute Truth
“Ah, yes, the backlog of experiences is building. Being in the experience is edging out talking about it!” …to quote my friend PP. So many things happening for me so fast that I can’t keep up. Seems like as soon as I decided to begin writing people showed up to receive my wyrds. Here underlies what’s been on my mind:
In the 1980’s I was involved with a personal growth organization that promoted workshops. There was a particular process that brought a great and long-lasting teaching. The effects of the process seemed to seep into my consciousness over the next couple of years.
Here’s what we were instructed for the process:
Sit in a dyad. Choose who will go first. While your partner sits and listens without providing any verbal feedback, or even gestures that indicate feedback, tell your partner of an incident or something within yourself that is bothersome. Everyone followed the instructions. We thought that was the exercise. Nope!
Once each person finished this was the next instruction that came: Now tell your partner what really happened and what you’re really feeling. I remember feeling a big whoosh of energy cross the room, a room filled with a couple of hundred people …a kind of rocket that took some time to land. Well, the story told the second time sounded similar, but definitely not the same. And everyone thought that was the end of that process. Again, nope!
Here was the third instruction that came: This time really tell what happened; really tell what you felt. Really tell the truth. The silence was deafening. Shortly thereafter began tears flowing like a tidal wave across the entire room.
The third telling. Hmm……I began to call this telling “the mi-nute truth”.
I coined the process “the mi-nute truth”.
Mi-nute truth. The story below the story below the story. The truth below the truth below the truth.
A person’s “simple truth” without layers of story [protections, fabrications, sales pitches, avoidances, manipulations, diversions] on top of it.
Mi-nute truth. The truth of the truth of the truth.
Mi-nute truth. The tiniest nuggets… that is the simple truth. What is the simple truth? The simple truth is what is.
When I play with the words, here is what shows up:
My Nute Truth. My nut truth. The truth within my nut.
Nut:
Offensive Term: for somebody with a psychiatric disorder
Hard fruit: the fruit of a plant, especially a tree, with a hard outer shell containing the seed
Muse with me. Complexity, entanglements form when I don’t tell the truth. Then I can forget what the truth really is or was. I lose my head. I go “nuts”.
When I don’t tell the truth I create a hard outer shell to protect whatever it is that compels me to not tell the truth. The seed within the shell, the truth, could bear its own fruit if I was willing to tell it. Fruit? Might the fruit be called “intimacy”? Hmmm.
Tell the mi-nute truth and watch your intimacy grow.

Forayer [fa'w ra'yer]
A new friend, D.M., commented that as we make forays into the world of quantum dynamics we find ways to align to the new paradigm. He said that no matter how deep we go within we find new subtle (and not so subtle) paths to awakening.
Foray? What is foray? Encarta says:
1. Incursion; to make a sudden attack or raid
2. Exploration of something unfamiliar; an attempt at some new occupation or activity
3. Brief journey: a short trip or visit to a place, usually for a particular purpose
I made a foray into Matrix Energetics, a consciousness transformation technology, and it made its way into my “field”. It was by no accident. After all, I had been praying for a new way to assist people with their healing and transformation in a more rapid and pain free way, a way that required little technology. Voila! It arrived like a foray!
I am a forayer!
I completed training in Matrix Energetics, was accepted as an Intern and will become a certified practitioner this December. I’ve immersed myself into offering free practice sessions. Listen to the story of one of my first remote sessions with a cat. Yep, a cat!
The owner saw my offer for free sessions on the NW Biz Network and called me immediately. YIKES! A cat? By telephone?
Here’s how it went: Eighteen months ago the cat was traumatized after his owner left him for a 3 week vacation. Problem was the cat sitter didn’t show up for the entire first week. No food, no water, no owner…..dreadful for the poor cat! Unlike some, this cat was very attached to his owner. Eighteen months ago he began peeing….everywhere! He was treated by an allopathic Vet who put him on antidepressants, several trials of them. No restoration. Following were remedies prescribed by a homeopathic Vet. Nothing. The week she called the cat had begun peeing on the kitchen counters. His owner had had it. She hit the end of the road with her peeing cat and was thinking of putting him down. I applied Matrix Energetics, discovered the cat was living out his owners unresolved grief over the loss of a former fiancé’ who died suddenly. The owner was preparing to remarry just when the cat began peeing on the counters. The cat was crying her tears through his bladder. Crazy, huh? I never heard from the owner again, until 2 weeks later when I read on the NW Biz Network email that arrived. The cat was 100% normal!!

No longer taking yes for know?
Been gone for a while…traveling, studying, visiting. I’m back and ready to share my thoughts.
First thing that came to mind after reading, all at once, your responses to my blog was weight/wait/peeing in the snow! Crazy, huh?
While reading your encouraging comments I was struck by the numerous remarks about my appearance. Focusing on my physical appearance has provided great insights for me and the opportunity for transformation of many life lessons. How I appear changes frequently.
Where did it begin that we all bought into concern about our weight and how did consensus reality develop about how we ought to appear? What is weight anyway? Is it the palpable manifestation and revelation for others to witness, letting them know we carry the weight of our beliefs, our troubles? Is it weighting/waiting to fully live our lives or holding back, thinking we are protecting ourselves from getting hurt? Waiting for another day, a different time, for what?
Recently I’ve been relating to my appearance as my close confidant and informer. Talking about this outloud, broadcasting it, takes courage!
Courage…..Like that Friday night when I was 13 is what comes to mind. I was walking home all by myself from Greenspring Shopping Center, the weekend parking lot hangout…had to be 5 miles from home if it was 1. The ground was covered in swan white snow. It had fallen 3 days earlier and the air was so frigid that after 2 full days of everyone sledding, the snow was packed like a 19th century luge track. It was dark, I was alone, it was very late and thank goodness by the time this happened I was close to home! I had to pee….badly. And uh oh, someone started following me. Oh I had to pee so badly. I knew I would never be able to run fast enough if my mind was focused on waiting/holding it in. So I made my choice. Wasn’t a tough choice…hold it and get caught or pee and run like a bat out of hell. I stretched my legs wide with each stride and right through the center of my bluejeans was the release of all that pent up holding/waiting. The night was so quiet that the force with which that hot pee shot through my jeans was like the first sounds of a shofar being blown on the High Holy Days. Captured in my imagination is the memory of the steam rising up to greet me, the heat meeting the cold. Protection. I was ignited with determination to get home without that guy getting me…no waiting, not for me.
I decided after reading your comments and the occurrence of this memory to have a little sit down with weighting/waiting.
It said, Jacke, your belly, your place of listening, it’s the place where you carry others’ stories….you put on the weight to provide a pathway for healing for those others. Jacke, no one told you you don’t have to provide the pathway through your body. And Jacke, you have beliefs programmed into your subconscious mind, unbeknownst to you, so that no matter how many sit-ups you do, no matter how many weights you lift or laps you swim….well they will not do anything to eradicate the weight that you carry. The weight is not the weight. It is not even the wait.
It said, Jacke, come ‘ere, come closer; listen to what your subconscious mind wants to reveal to you in the wee chambers of its software: You blame yourself and others for your difficulties. And you want things to stay the way they are. You believe that you are unworthy of the best that love and life have to offer and you hold on for dear life to all that you no longer need. But wait a minute, what about that Friday night? OK, okay. You’re talking about bonding and transformation and self-worth and letting go, aren’t you?
Ahhh, my belly, my place of listening, the place where I carry others’ stories….I put on the weight to provide a pathway for healing.
So what you’re saying is these beliefs are undermining me, all the while I think I need to do more sit-ups or eat fewer carbs? Yea, now you’re getting it. You go girl! So Jacke, listen. Reprogram your subconscious mind and it will dance for you and twirl and leap; it will even tap dance for you.
Undermining. Get this…mining under. Mining under the weight/wait for the riches, the treasures. There are treasures in my belly! Treasures!! Things are not as they appear.
So this writing, here, is my playing field, in the chest to find the treasures.
This is interesting to me. During my first Matrix Energetics (WHOA!) treatment with Dr. Richard Bartlett in Seattle I told him I always had a fat belly….immediately he said no, I didn’t. He time traveled…. I was 16 when my belly began weighting/waiting. It began when Eczema (inflammation of the skin, red and itchy) appeared on my legs. Eczema came to make me aware that I was inflamed…hmmm…must have been mad as hell about something…hmmm…wonder what it was? The treatment provided to make Eczema go away was cortisone shots…hmmm….increased cortisol = fat belly…the deep layers of fat in the belly that lead to all those horrific dis-ease states…..cancer (c the answer; canker=defined as “evil”; an evil or corrupting influence that spreads and is difficult to wipe out. William Shakespeare in Venus and Adonis (1593) wrote “This canker that eats up Love’s tender spring”)….diabetes (difficulty taking in the sweetness in life)…heart disease (broken hearted)………the diseases of my parents and grandmothers.
Hmmm…..Eczema came to get my attention, wake me up, like a shofar being blown on the High Holy Days….but the only response to it was to shut it up and make it go away! Hmmm…..He returned again, Mr. Eczema, when I became pregnant with my daughter. This time the midwife said oh yea use zinc oxide, it will take it right away.
No one said, Jacke….for what purpose has Mr. Eczema come a callin’? For what purpose is he trying to get your attention? Are you listening Jacke?
Saying yes doesn’t mean I know. I’m listening……I’m waiting……
Made a journey tonight to the Upper World to meet Mr. Eczema and listen to what he wants to tell me. I found him in the Land of Diseases. Here is what he said: Jacke, your grandmother who lived with you…well, you were mad as hell at your parents for moving into a new house far away from your grandmother’s friends and the public bus that enabled her to get wherever she wanted to go. She was angry, frustrated and upset that she would be trapped in that new house and too dependent on others to get her out of there. She had diabetes. You took into your body the story of her troubles…as if doing that would somehow ease the experience for your grandmother. You took it into your skin, inflaming it so it would be noticeable to others that you were enraged…it wasn’t able to come out of your mouth because you knew you would get in trouble if you screamed it out. You took it into your legs making freedom and forward movement painful and unsightly. You took it into your belly barring the succulent sweetness and joy in life from coming inside. Jacke, it wasn’t helpful to her…you taking her troubles into your body. Jacke….it’s time to release her troubles. WHOA!!
This question appeared: Do I want my life lived in an open, moving and expressive growth mode…or in a closed and waiting protection mode?
I went to my belly for advice….She said take action for perfect health. She said joyfully release the past and expect the best now and in the future.
I’m taking yes for know.

Courage…..Like that Friday night when I was 13 is what comes to mind. I was walking home all by myself from Greenspring Shopping Center, the weekend parking lot hangout…had to be 5 miles from home if it was 1. The ground was covered in swan white snow. It had fallen 3 days earlier and the air was so frigid that after 2 full days of everyone sledding, the snow was packed like a 19th century luge track. It was dark, I was alone, it was very late and thank goodness by the time this happened I was close to home! I had to pee….badly. And uh oh, someone started following me. Oh I had to pee so badly. I knew I would never be able to run fast enough if my mind was focused on waiting/holding it in. So I made my choice. Wasn’t a tough choice…hold it and get caught or pee and run like a bat out of hell. I stretched my legs wide with each stride and right through the center of my bluejeans was the release of all that pent up holding/waiting. The night was so quiet that the force with which that hot pee shot through my jeans was like the first sounds of a shofar being blown on the High Holy Days. Captured in my imagination is the memory of the steam rising up to greet me, the heat meeting the cold. Protection. I was ignited with determination to get home without that guy getting me…no waiting, not for me.
I decided after reading your comments and the occurrence of this memory to have a little sit down with weighting/waiting.
It said, Jacke, your belly, your place of listening, it’s the place where you carry others’ stories….you put on the weight to provide a pathway for healing for those others. Jacke, no one told you you don’t have to provide the pathway through your body. And Jacke, you have beliefs programmed into your subconscious mind, unbeknownst to you, so that no matter how many sit-ups you do, no matter how many weights you lift or laps you swim….well they will not do anything to eradicate the weight that you carry. The weight is not the weight. It is not even the wait.
It said, Jacke, come ‘ere, come closer; listen to what your subconscious mind wants to reveal to you in the wee chambers of its software: You blame yourself and others for your difficulties. And you want things to stay the way they are. You believe that you are unworthy of the best that love and life have to offer and you hold on for dear life to all that you no longer need. But wait a minute, what about that Friday night? OK, okay. You’re talking about bonding and transformation and self-worth and letting go, aren’t you?
Ahhh, my belly, my place of listening, the place where I carry others’ stories….I put on the weight to provide a pathway for healing.
So what you’re saying is these beliefs are undermining me, all the while I think I need to do more sit-ups or eat fewer carbs? Yea, now you’re getting it. You go girl! So Jacke, listen. Reprogram your subconscious mind and it will dance for you and twirl and leap; it will even tap dance for you.
Undermining. Get this…mining under. Mining under the weight/wait for the riches, the treasures. There are treasures in my belly! Treasures!! Things are not as they appear.
So this writing, here, is my playing field, in the chest to find the treasures.
This is interesting to me. During my first Matrix Energetics (WHOA!) treatment with Dr. Richard Bartlett in Seattle I told him I always had a fat belly….immediately he said no, I didn’t. He time traveled…. I was 16 when my belly began weighting/waiting. It began when Eczema (inflammation of the skin, red and itchy) appeared on my legs. Eczema came to make me aware that I was inflamed…hmmm…must have been mad as hell about something…hmmm…wonder what it was? The treatment provided to make Eczema go away was cortisone shots…hmmm….increased cortisol = fat belly…the deep layers of fat in the belly that lead to all those horrific dis-ease states…..cancer (c the answer; canker=defined as “evil”; an evil or corrupting influence that spreads and is difficult to wipe out. William Shakespeare in Venus and Adonis (1593) wrote “This canker that eats up Love’s tender spring”)….diabetes (difficulty taking in the sweetness in life)…heart disease (broken hearted)………the diseases of my parents and grandmothers.
Hmmm…..Eczema came to get my attention, wake me up, like a shofar being blown on the High Holy Days….but the only response to it was to shut it up and make it go away! Hmmm…..He returned again, Mr. Eczema, when I became pregnant with my daughter. This time the midwife said oh yea use zinc oxide, it will take it right away.
No one said, Jacke….for what purpose has Mr. Eczema come a callin’? For what purpose is he trying to get your attention? Are you listening Jacke?
Saying yes doesn’t mean I know. I’m listening……I’m waiting……
Made a journey tonight to the Upper World to meet Mr. Eczema and listen to what he wants to tell me. I found him in the Land of Diseases. Here is what he said: Jacke, your grandmother who lived with you…well, you were mad as hell at your parents for moving into a new house far away from your grandmother’s friends and the public bus that enabled her to get wherever she wanted to go. She was angry, frustrated and upset that she would be trapped in that new house and too dependent on others to get her out of there. She had diabetes. You took into your body the story of her troubles…as if doing that would somehow ease the experience for your grandmother. You took it into your skin, inflaming it so it would be noticeable to others that you were enraged…it wasn’t able to come out of your mouth because you knew you would get in trouble if you screamed it out. You took it into your legs making freedom and forward movement painful and unsightly. You took it into your belly barring the succulent sweetness and joy in life from coming inside. Jacke, it wasn’t helpful to her…you taking her troubles into your body. Jacke….it’s time to release her troubles. WHOA!!
This question appeared: Do I want my life lived in an open, moving and expressive growth mode…or in a closed and waiting protection mode?
I went to my belly for advice….She said take action for perfect health. She said joyfully release the past and expect the best now and in the future.
I’m taking yes for know.

WYRD?
Tell me, is wyrd relating to Word?
Word - Wired - Weird - Wyrd........
And what does that have to do with Shaman?
Goethe said "Daring ideas are like chessmen moved forward; they may be beaten, but they may start a winning game."
Shamanism is the earliest spiritual practice known to humankind, dating back tens of thousands of years. The word “shaman”, literally translated as "one who sees in the dark", is a Siberian word for a spiritual healer. Shamanism has been practiced throughout history and continues to this day among most cultures in the Americas, Europe, Africa, Australia, Greenland and Asia.
Shamanism is a path of direct revelation. The practice of shamanic journeying helps us to part the veils between the seen and unseen worlds and access information and energies that can help awaken us and restore us to wholeness. A shaman or shaman practitioner is a man or woman who interacts directly with spirits to address the spiritual aspects of illness, perform soul retrievals, divine information, help the spirits of deceased people cross over, and perform a variety of ceremonies for the community. They take on many roles in communities acting as healers, doctors, rabbis and priests, psychotherapists, mystics, and storytellers.
Many years and many lifetimes were to be lived before realizing that shamanism was my home. It was in the early days when I was living with Baba Muktananda that I accepted the spiritual name he bestowed upon me. It was in those days that I only felt comfortable being called the name I was given when I was living within the Siddha Yoga community. My birth family already thought I was too "weird". I knew they would never go for calling me anything other than what they thought was my name, and especially since it wasn't Jewish. They didn't realize they had already given me many names: Jacke (without an "i") (OY if that wasn't challenging enough?), Jacke Lynn, Loke, Locus, Cookie, Etachasha, J., Jerky Jacky, Fats, Jakala, Cookala.
Now if they could have heard all of them spoken at the same time, together, they might not really have thought that "Gopita" was so weird! I stood in line for hours to receive that name. With baited breath waiting to look into Baba's timeless, limitless eyes...waiting to feel the sweet breeze swift around and through me, waiting to smell the fragrant aroma of the Blue Pearl Classic Champa incense, the original floral blend based on sandlewood....On the box read "so'ham, Thou Art That. That Thou Art. God Dwells Within You As You. See God in Each Other." Jewish families didn't burn sandlewood in my Baltimore ghetto neighborhood....At 24 I was in a new land, a new culture, and I felt like I was home when Baba bestowed me with that name, when he gave me shaktipat with his wand of glorious peacock feathers.
Shaktipat...awakening my kundalini energy....I didn't even know I had energy, that kind of energy, the kundalini kind. It was magical being given that name. In pure ritual form Baba handed me a piece of paper while emitting the oceans from his eyes into mine. He held my hand as I swam into the vastness of all that is. I looked. I saw. Beautifully scripted, "Gopita". I liked it. I felt proud of it. I liked her sound. But wait they motioned to me; that wasn't all? An instuction came to turn the paper over.
WHOA! "One who keeps the secrets"...that was the name he was giving me?!...that was what he was awakening my realization to?!...that's what he wanted me to know about myself?!...that I already was "wired", that I Am and will continue to be one who keeps the secrets. I wondered at that moment what secrets he was talking about.......hehe.
wyrd: It's an Anglo-Saxon Norse word which means essentially “that which has become”. We interact with wyrd (that which has become) to create certain personal patterns which affect and are reflected in universal patterns. Those universal patterns, in turn, exert forces which shape our lives.

Just read it and yes, you step out of the ancient world and right into into the future. What I mean by that is that I read a prediction of the shape of the future of religion from a seer who writes online, (otherwise known as blogging) who said that religion in the future will be mostly shamanic for humanity but not like what shamanism is now. I can see that easily, especially considering how much trouble dogma is getting us into now and of course how the corporate collective has taken on a souless life of its own. Fab pics too, by the way! What a babe! You look great and sound right on it. I will keep up with your website and perhaps add something into it when I get some time to tap something out on the subject of the evolution of the corporate body. It certainly gives one something to think about.

Climbing my trellis.....
One motivation for me stepping onto the blogging path comes from this: I've learned that when I look at any one particular event or time in my life, or any one particular consultation meeting or healing session, the opportune wholeness, guidance, inherent lesson, growth and development, and joy is blocked….as if a veil or curtain is lingering blocking the light. But when I remove the curtain, the moment the curtain comes down and I bring into light several or many events, times, meetings or healing sessions all at the same time, when I gift myself with a macro view….Voila, Magic!
At my core I feel an urgency, a relentless and incessant yearning that my life cannot remain as it is. Something is "calling"; I’ve known this feeling before. And it refuses to give up on me; it is a relentless yearning that things should heal this very moment but like compost, in order for the nutrients to be available for nourishment to a seedling, the timing requires patience. I’m ready, the seedling that I am, to climb my trellis.
Healing is a funny word; it’s use has been over saturated to the point where it’s meaning sometimes is opaque. Here, my meaning of healing relates to what is described in the Kabbalah as the “shattering vessel.” Morning after morning after morning – like a string of real pearls, the kind that when I drag my teeth across them, I feel the sand they called home in their shells – I’ve been making my plea, as though unable to tolerate another moment without arriving. And when the days have come to their end, I demand again as though morning never passed. So to bring tikkun olam of my life, to gather the shards scattered throughout my widely cast net, I’m living on the verge of eternity ready to soar.

My Introduction and First Post
Greetings,
This is my first post and at 53 this mode of communication is new for me so please be patient as I learn the process and etiquette of blogging. I have a psychiatrist friend who says "Jacke, you cast a wide net". I'm at the point where I need to bring greater focus to all that I create and share and I'm feeling the compulsion to bring voice to my journey....my life is worth being witnessed...and I'm told that my stories are inspirational and motivating. I want to share with you the contents within my net in hopes that it will help bring transformation and joy to you and our world.
I'm curious about what it is that's really wanting to be spoken so here we go!
I'll begin by telling you some about me. I guess we can call it a sort of Bio.
For over 30 years I've been meditating, and studying and practicing a wide variety of healing modalities with the intent of assisting people of all ages to improve the quality of their lives and live fully. I have received 3 meditation initiations over the course of these years beginning with Transcendental Meditation. I later lived with Baba Muktananda and was initiated into Siddha Yoga by him. Lastly with Sant Rajinder Singh in the Science of Spirituality meditating on light and sound.
I have a Masters degree in Administration and in Clinical Social Work and I’m licensed in both Oregon and Maryland as an LCSW-C. I operate a private healing practice incorporating a variety of conventional and unconventional healing methods both in person and by telephone. I provide counseling, healing and empowerment to individuals, couples, groups, mothers & daughters and business Executives. One special group work I facilitate is focused on healing sexuality. The group is called Our Sacred Selves: Weaving Our Sexual Stories. It is a process for writing your sexual story. My favorite healing methods include shamanism, PSYCH-K and Samyama. I am about to learn Matrix Energetics in July in San Francisco with Dr. Richard Bartlett and I am currently a student in a 2-year Wheel of Life course of study with Betsy Bergstrom, renowned for teaching depossession healing and mediumship.
My shamans are from the traditions of Core Shamanism, Judaism, Cherokee, the Divine Feminine, Yaqui, Ecuadorian Shuar and African Dagara. My Beloved teachers include Sheila Foster, Rabbi Gershon Winkler, Ravi Miriam Maron, Rabbi Ruth Gan Kagan, Ed Rothwell, Malidoma Patrice Some’, Peem Arcos, Lench Archuletta, Lenore Norrgard, Christina Pratt, Betsy Bergstrom, Richard Whiteley and Frank Coppieters.
Also, I am Principal and operate "Ma’at Associates: bringing light, wisdom and continuing education to mental health professionals and interested others”. I offer courses and workshops that qualify for CEs for MFT’s and LCSW;s as required by the California Board of Behavioral Sciences. I am certified through California as a continuing education provider. I also serve as a member of the continuing education committee for the National Association of Social Workers Oregon Chapter.
Lastly, I serve as a corporate shaman for bringing Executives’ business to life. Using shamanic practices I consult in person and by telephone with small businesses, non-profits and corporations throughout the country to make better and more informed decisions in all aspects of business, from assessment and planning to decision-making, staffing, execution and evaluation. My corporate shamanic practice is highlighted in Barbara Stanny’s latest book and fabulous new anthology, Breaking Through: Getting Past the Stuck Points in Your Life.

"Bringing Your Business To Life"
This is my first post and at 53 this mode of communication is new for me so please be patient as I learn the process and etiquette of blogging. I have a psychiatrist friend who says "Jacke, you cast a wide net". I'm at the point where I need to bring greater focus to all that I create and share and I'm feeling the compulsion to bring voice to my journey....my life is worth being witnessed...and I'm told that my stories are inspirational and motivating. I want to share with you the contents within my net in hopes that it will help bring transformation and joy to you and our world.
